and is black too dark for prom?
i don't mind going pastel for prom i actually want to i just don't want to do the whole kid-at-heart-princess color of pink or baby blue
what's a trendy + flattering + sophisticated color for a prom dress?
i really don't want to do a smokey eye (i always turn out looking terrible.) and i'm thinking pink & gold, or a purple look. i don't know about lips. and i don't know what nail color i should go for, but definitely not black or gray. i'm not going as a newspaper x]

i don't have the money to get my makeup done :[ i'm doing everything myself. and hair and the french manicure is no problem. i can do the pink and gold look with no problem, but the smokey eye look just looks a bit... trashy on me. trust me, i've tried many times to achieve the smokey eye look without looking trashy.
So my prom is coming up and my date showed me her dress. Usually I can match color with color, but in my case my date has a leopard print dress. Here's a picture:

I want a one of a kind prom dress! Something long and gorgeous that no one will have! I want one at bloomingdales but every girl at my school goes there and I witnessed three girls in the same dress at homecoming from there. Any reccomendations? I need help! (P.S- I like bright colors)
I have prom coming up this Saturday and I really want to have defined makeup. My dress is a turquoise-ish color with silver beading and the look that I'm going for is dramatic/intense/smoky, yet really defined. I want my eyes to stand out, yet look natural and not overly done. I'm not exactly sure how to achieve this look. How do I apply the dark colors on the corners of my eyes for best results? What colors should I use and which part of my eye should I place it to have the best results? Also, I always have a problem choosing a lipstick color. I love the outstanding red, but it never seems to look good on me.. what color should I use to get maximum results?
