is white a good color for prom?

I keep changing my mind about the type of dress I should wear. It's very disheartening, considering that my prom is on the 25th. I know, I know. Lol.
But, I wanna know if this dress is innapropriate for prom? It is technically a prom dress, but will I look like a bride?
